Saying Goodbye

Grace, Tony and I went to our townhome one last time. Grace was having a blast running around the empty house. But a home with no gates is definitely scary. It's bittersweet to be leaving our home. We lived there for two years. It really flew by. In those two years the best little girl came into our lives. We have so many fond memories that locking the door one last time was emotional.
*I remember the day I found out I was pregnant. Tony came home from work and opened the front door and I didn't even need to say anything he knew by the look on my face that I was expecting.
*I remember getting the nursery ready. Tony painting the room. Putting her furniture together. Folding endless amounts of clothes. And just sitting on the rocking chair waiting for our little angel to arrive.
*I remember bringing Grace home. It feels like it was yesterday. It was the hardest couple weeks in our lives. But the most amazing, exciting and rewarding time.
*I remember all of her huge milestones happening. Turning over for the first time. Eating her first foods. Smiling, giggling, dada, mama. Taking her first steps.

The walls of that home hold so many of our fondest memories. It was here where our lives were blessed with the most special gift your could ever ask for.
