Our beautiful baby girl was born on her due date 6.6.12 at 12:18 am.
She weighed 7 lbs 3 oz and as 19.5 inches long
The Delivery
I went to my normal check up on Monday and Dr. Morgan told me that he could induce me on Tuesday. I called Tony and talked it over with him and we both decided this would be the best case. So we spent the night getting ready for the big day.
Bags were packed, car was ready to go. It was like Christmas Eve.
We woke up and got ready. Dropped Gracie off at day care and the hospital called me and told me they had to push back the induction to 1:00 pm. So we went to the beach, went shopping and had a delicious lunch at the Buttered Biscuit in Bradley Beach.
It was time to head back to the hospital. We went right up to labor and delivery and we were turned away again. There happened to be a full moon and the labor and delivery floor was full. So we had another 4 hours to wait. We decided to go to the movies and see "What to Expect When you are Expecting." It was the perfect movie for the perfect day.
So it's not 5:00 and we went back L&D. Success! I was admitted and the induction began.
Our little Lily was on her way.
After 7 hours Lily was ready to enter the world.
A couple pushes and I had my 2nd baby girl in my arms.
It is the most incredible experience!
We were blessed with a beautiful blue-eyed girl.

Lily did not have a name for her first couple hours.
We wanted to spend some time with her and around 5am we decided
that Lily was perfect for her.

She's spent the past 10 months hearing all about
what it would be like to have a little sister.
Instead of reading books at night she wanted me to
tell her all about her sister.
She bought a balloon and lamb to the hospital for Lily.
She is the best sister ever!!! She loves her baby sister so much.
