We're Going to Disney!!!

We planned our first vacation to Disney World on New Year's Day. Work has been so busy for both of us and we needed something to look forward to. We couldn't think of any better place to bring our two princesses other than Disney World. We were so excited and couldn't wait for our first family vacation with Lily. The last vacation we were on was to Florida for Sue and Ron's wedding when Grace was 7 months. A vacation was long overdue.

Lily didn't want us to forget her so she jumped in the suitcase.
 Daddy's Little Girl
Here we are 5:00 am and all ready to head to the airport.
Up, Up and Away!!!
Thanks to my dad Grace was all set for the plane. She had her own DVD player with a copy of
one of her favorite movies, The Wizard of Oz. She was such a big girl just sitting there with her headphones and DVD player. She was so good on the airplane. So impressed. Lily was very good too. She had about 20 minutes of fussing but overall she was good.
We stayed at the Contemporary Resort. This was a great hotel. Perfect location to the Magic Kingdom. We were able to walk to and from the park. The monorail went through our hotel which was so convenient. Grace loved having her own bed and the view was perfect. Maybe next time we can stay on the other side. That side has the view of Cinderella's Castle.
Disney has a great program where we drop our bags off at Newark Airport and they magically appear in our hotel! It was great. You have to wait a couple hours but if you pack a carry on with things you need for the first day it's so good. I couldn't imagine what we would've looked like with the kids and all our luggage.
We also ordered food from the Garden Grocer. That was delivered directly to our room. It was great! We ordered all of Lily's food, formula and diapers so we didn't have to pack them. We ordered waters so we didn't have to waste so much money in the parks. Grace had all of her favorite snacks. And of course beer and wine since the girls were in bed by 8 or 9. We had a perfect view at the end of the night.
Our huge stroller that was so necessary for the trip. It was so perfect. The girls loved sleeping in it and when they weren't in it it we packed all our stuff in it.

We took the monorail to Epcot and as soon as we got off the monorail it began storming like crazy. Sideways rain. Thank God I packed these ponchos from the dollar store. Grace would've been freezing. I'm not a fan of ponchos but it was so good to keep her dry during this crazy storm. It lasted an hour but it was the only rain we encountered. We were lucky!!
Waiting for the storm to pass.
We ran into the park during a break in the storm and ran into Daisy and Goofy.
One of me favorite pictures from the trip. She was so happy to meet Daisy.
And he was so excited to meet Goofy.
 The girls

Rain, rain go away...
Finally able to go on the Nemo ride in Epcot. It was super cute and Lily could go on it with us.
All of us on the ride. Grace looks thrilled :)

After a very long day of traveling the girls finally took a nap just in time for Mommy and Daddy to have a beer in Germany! These girls are just perfect :)
 A happy Daddy
A lot of people recommended The Garden Grille in Epcot. It's a rotating restaurant. We loved it.
The food was delicious. It was all you could eat and they brought it to your table. They had fish and veggie, turkey and stuffing, steak and mashed potatoes for the adults. The kids had all you could eat green beans, mac and cheese, fries and chicken nuggets.

Lily meeting Pluto
Dale was so cute but it was the only character that made Lily cry. For some reason she didn't like Dale.
 Lily was wiping Pluto's nose.
 Grace waving to Dale
 Peek-A-Boo

 Mickey!!!

 We Love you Mickey!!
 High-Fives for Chip
 and a smooch too!
 Sister Love
I got these placemats from Babies R Us which were perfect. They were Minnie and they stuck to the table. It was great to have them for Lily and Grace liked eating on them too.

Love the topiary characters
Bye Epcot!! What a great start to our trip.

Taking the monorail back we passed by the Magic Kingdom and saw Cinderella's castle. So excited for tomorrow.
