Relaxation Room

Grace and I visited my mother at her office last Thursday. Everyone at the office loved her and everyone called her "little Emma." Grace's dark hair and dark skin truly resemble her Memme.

My mother is a nurse practitioner in a cardiology office. Over the past few years she has been trying to move towards preventing heart disease rather than the traditional method of treating the medical condition after it is discovered. Atlantic Cardiology moved into a new building and part of the perks of having a bigger office was the ability for my mother to have a Relaxation Room rather than the traditional examine room. In the relaxation room she teaches her patients techniques to lower their blood pressure. Some of these techniques include various breathing methods, meditation practices, and nutritional guidance. I am so proud of my mother. She is an inspiration to me. Her dedication to changing health care is so important in our country.
