A year ago yesterday was our second day home from the hospital. It was also the day that Aunt Fran got to meet Gracie. When Aunt Fran was diagnosed with cancer, one of my many prayers was that she would get to meet Grace. My prayers were answered on April 6 with a special visit from a special Aunt.
This is one of my favorite pictures. Aunt Fran always wore these gold bracelets. I love that her hands are holding Grace's hands. I feel that she is always holding her hands. Even though she is not with us physically. I know she is with us.
I will cherish these pictures forever. This was the last time that I saw Aunt Fran before she went to Heaven. She was the greatest Aunt in the world! There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of her.
She is definitely with us, Kelly! I can't believe I just read this post because she was in my dream last night. And we hugged....SO TIGHT i could feel it. Okay - now I am almost crying! Miss her immensely. I only wish Ethan could have met her, but I know she is with all of us.
ReplyDeletegreat post, kelly. i think of aunt fran every single day, too! the boys have also been talking about her a lot and miss her so much. i'm so glad she got to meet grace. we will always have lots of great stories to share with our children about how wonderful aunt fran was.
